Linger awhile in Powers
Powers is the gateway town to the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. It is nestled in a scenic valley surrounded by steep, forested coastal mountains. Powers is a great place to camp and enjoy the outdoors.
This Pacific Northwest logging town was named after an early 20th century lumberman, Albert H. Powers. Albert brought in men and the railroad to log the surrounding forest. Many town folk are native to the area and have lots of tales-to-tell of the great old days when Powers was bustling with loggers and gold miners. We invite you to enjoy the beauty in our area.
